Accessibility Statement
1. Commitment
Martyn Lawrence Bullard LLC ("MLB") is committed to making martynlawrencebullard.com usable by visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, speech input, and other assistive technologies.
2. Standard
MLB works toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. MLB does not represent that every page or element of the Site currently satisfies every success criterion. Accessibility work on the Site is ongoing.
3. Measures Taken
Completed and ongoing measures include:
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images across the project portfolio and the blog, including gallery and carousel images;
- A logical heading structure permitting navigation by heading;
- Page layouts that reflow and remain legible when text is enlarged and that adapt to mobile, tablet, and desktop viewports;
- Review of color contrast between text and background across the Site palette;
- Replacement of image-based text with selectable text readable by assistive technology;
- A visible skip-to-content link at the top of each page;
- Periodic testing with automated accessibility tools and with screen readers.
4. Accessibility Toolbar
The Site includes a third-party accessibility toolbar provided by AdaBundle, which permits visitors to adjust settings including text size, contrast, spacing, and motion, and which offers translation through Google Translate. The toolbar is supplemental. It is not a substitute for an accessible website, and its presence is not a representation of conformance with any standard.
5. Known Limitations
The following limitations are known and are subject to ongoing remediation:
- Third-party content embedded on the Site, including video players, the social media feed, and press media, is controlled by the provider and its accessibility is outside MLB’s direct control;
- Certain legacy pages and older press assets have not yet been brought to current standards;
- Certain plugin-generated components may not fully support keyboard navigation or screen reader announcement and are under review for replacement.
6. Third-Party Sites
MLB does not warrant the accessibility of external websites linked from the Site, including the Martyn Lawrence Bullard Atelier shop, the 1stDibs storefront, partner and licensee brand sites, streaming platforms, and social media platforms. Each such party controls its own site.
7. Feedback and Requests
A visitor who encounters difficulty using the Site, or who requires information from the Site in an alternative format, may contact MLB at hello@martynlawrencebullard.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line, or by mail at the address in Section 9. Reports should identify the page, the task attempted, and the assistive technology, browser, and device used, where known.
MLB aims to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and to provide an estimated timeframe for resolution. Where a fix will require additional time, MLB will provide an alternative means of obtaining the information or completing the task.
8. Review
This statement is reviewed periodically and updated as the Site changes.
