One of my absolute favorite rituals in Paris … getting wonderfully lost in the magic of the Marché aux Puces. The vendors spill out along winding streets, each one a trove of antiques from centuries past. I truly never set foot in Paris without stopping here … it’s part treasure hunt , part love affair, and always the place that fills me with inspiration.
This is my favorite thing to do in Paris, to come here to Saint-Ouen and visit the flea markets. Known as the Marché aux Pouces, these little alleys are filled with the most amazing vendors. Antique dealers and vintage dealers selling everything from Roman busts, to Napoleonic chairs, to vintage Louis Vuitton handbags. This is the Galerie Gustin, which is set here, kind of in the heart of the flea market. Although this is a very beautiful store, and they have a wonderful mix of things.
Set in this period atmosphere, they have amazing pieces of modern furniture and 60s, 70s, 80s themes that really give the flavor of Paris. It literally has something for everyone, and to me, this place makes my heart sing. But I did leave a few treasures behind for you!!
