Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s design for Red O Westlake Village reframes tropical aesthetic for refined hospitality. He drew upon the relaxed romance of Tulum – layering natural textures like caba cloth, woven rattan, and rope-wrapped detailing with antique Oaxacan textiles – creating an enveloping interior rich in warmth and sensory detail.
As Martyn told California Home+Design, “The design for RED O draws inspiration from the casual yet sexy spirit of Tulum and that easy living vibe that blends California ease with the flavors of Mexican Beach style – layered with textures, patterns and romance and a sexy glow from woven lanterns”
